Ingredients
  

  • 2 sheets puff pastry Thawed but cold
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese Finely shredded
  • 3 medium fresh jalapeƱos Seeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon Crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 large egg Beaten with a splash of water

Equipment

  • Pizza Cutter
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, peppers, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Spread the filling evenly across one sheet of cold puff pastry.
  4. Top with the second sheet of pastry and press gently to seal.
  5. Slice the dough stack into one-inch wide strips using a pizza cutter.
  6. Twist each strip gently a few times and place it on the baking sheet.
  7. Brush the twists with the beaten egg wash.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

  • Keep the pastry as cold as possible before baking for the best flaky texture.
  • Ensure the diced peppers are patted completely dry before adding to the filling.
